Dr. John J. Ramos, Sr. is a regional search associate and background investigator for Ray and Associates.

During his long career in education he worked as principal, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, deputy commissioner for education programs and services for the Connecticut’s State Department of Education, and as an international consultant in the Middle East. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut and Teachers College at Columbia University. Dr. Ramos is the founder and president of the Equity and Excellence Imperative.

Dr. Ramos earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and American Literature from Brown University. He has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Doctor of Education from Columbia University.
