Waterbury Public Schools is a school district headquartered in Waterbury Connecticut. This public school system consists of 20 elementary (K-5), 4 pre K-8, 4 middle (6-8), and 5 comprehensive high (9-12) school programs. In addition, we have 1 Inter-District Arts Magnet middle/high school (6-12). Our district also offers some pre-k and alternative school programs. The school system
employs a professional staff of more than 1,600 administrators and teachers and more than 1,000 support staff.

Demographics of Students: Our 34 schools have a current enrollment of 18,700 students. The student population is diverse and consists of 57% Hispanic, 21% African American, 15% Caucasian and 5% of students with other nationalities.
