A Charter School whose sites are located throughout Southern California counties and serve students in grades 7-12 is seeking an individual with visionary leadership and strong administrative skills as well as knowledge and experience in urban education for the position of Assistant Superintendent. This position reports to the Superintendent of the School, and will be responsible for academic achievement, increasing enrollments and retention of all students in all charters. In support of those responsibilities, the position will lead and manage a team of Directors.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop effective communication and operations between sites and throughout the company as a whole. A strong flow of cooperation between sites will be evident based upon the efforts of the person who occupies this position. The successful candidate will also be expected to effectively and efficiently manage corporate resources assigned to the division through strong budgetary processes and controls.
• At least three years in a central office administrative position.
• Experience in Charter School environments.
• Successful experience in developing and implementing innovative and/or entrepreneurial plans that lead to meeting or exceeding expected results
• Doctorate in education or equivalent experience.
• Valid CA Teaching Credential.
• Ability to travel as needed.
